Wisely, direct access buttons have been included for the climate control, and a little lower down, on the floating center console, are the gear selector and the controls for selecting the driving mode (Eco, Normal, and Sport), the Trail mode (specific to the 4x4 versions), hill descent control, and the button that activates/deactivates the energy regeneration system.This system can be adjusted to three intensity levels, one of which is almost a one-pedal operation, but only after navigating through several menus on the central screen. It would be much better if this result could be achieved by pressing the same button repeatedly. Or, ideally, with paddle shifters. Otherwise, they don't allow for the kind of simulated gear changes found in other electric vehicles
