Digital leap
As for the interior, following the style of the iX3, BMW combines glass surfaces with novel materials such as natural slate. The dashboard moves away from the classic driver-oriented layout, opting instead for a completely horizontal design. Digitalization is extensive: a 17.9-inch central screen, a dedicated instrument display, a three-dimensional head-up display, a strip at the base of the windshield showing constant information across its entire width, and finally, a separate 14.6-inch display for the front passenger. The entire system runs on BMW Operating System X, supporting touch controls, voice commands, and a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence and Amazon Alexa+ technology.
