The new BMW X5 arrives with (almost) every technology
Powertrain lineup
All models feature xDrive all-wheel drive. The lineup starts with the 400 hp gasoline mild-hybrid X5, while the diesel version--also featuring mild-hybrid assistance--delivers 313 hp. There are two plug-in hybrid models, offering 489 hp and 612 hp respectively; both are equipped with a 26.5 kWh battery that allows for speeds of up to 140 km/h in electric mode and a range of 81 to 102 km without using a drop of gasoline. The battery supports 11 kW AC charging, enough to fully charge it in about three hours.
