The powertrain lineup will consist exclusively of electrified engines, marking another key strategic move for the brand. The entry-level version will be the mild-hybrid G 140, combining a gasoline engine--adapted to run on LPG as well--with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. In doing so, Dacia retains a technology in which it is a European leader, allowing for reduced running costs without driving up the purchase price. Positioned above this will be the Hybrid 155, featuring a 1.8-liter gasoline engine paired with two electric motors and an electrified four-speed automatic transmission capable of all-electric driving for a significant portion of urban journeys. According to the brand, the vehicle can operate in the city for up to 80% of the time without using the internal combustion engine, while maintaining CO2 emissions below 100 g/km.
