BYD enters the pickup segment with the Shark, a plug-in hybrid
BYD only manufactures plug-in cars
Since April 2022, BYD has manufactured only plug-in vehicles--either fully electric or plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). And although it initially entered the European market with the former, the company has identified a promising market niche to target with the latter. Consequently, over the past two months, it has launched the Atto 2 and Dolphin G DM-i models--two compact cars of a type not offered by any other brand in its lineup.
