A screen that is a world unto itself

The interior styling is also completely new, mirroring that of the new Tucson. None of the materials disappoint--some feature a padded finish--and everything feels very solid. Taking center stage is the central display, showcasing the vast capabilities of the new Pleos Connect multimedia system, which also makes its debut in this model. It runs on Android Automotive, featuring multiple native Google apps and a navigation system that plans necessary charging stops. The information displayed and the configuration options--reminiscent of a smartphone--can be overwhelming, so it will take some time to get used to the system and make the most of it. This explains its generous 14.6-inch size; however, the entry-level Select trim scales this down to 12.9 inches and omits the small, additional rectangular screen (nine inches) positioned above the steering wheel--rather than behind it--which provides the driver with key supplementary information. In that version, all such data is displayed on the smaller central screen. HYUNDAI
