Chanel spring-summer 2025: the new sense of lightness
For spring-summer 2025, the woman imagined by Chanel reclaims her nature: that of a consolidated balance between classic femininity and her renewed defense of feminine liberation through bodily movement. In the second proposal from the maison's studio, without a creative director at the helm since the departure of Virginie Viard, the tweed widens and allows, on the shoulders, an eighties air to trim the baseball-inspired vests and expand the collars, bobo-style, to challenge the aesthetics on lace-up shoes with a platform. Chanel spring invites white to make way for the palette of pink and pastel green, ready to invoke effervescence in pleated blouses that peek out from under sleeves, capes with lacing and skirts that add to the game of transparencies. Palazzo jeans and feathers, in prints and embroidered on skirts and blouses, are used to reinforce the new sense of lightness. With one foot in the past and an eye on the present, the French house is once again timeless.
