New platform with improvements

The range consists of 116, 135, 211, and 226 hp versions (including the GTI), with 37 and 52 kWh batteries that support maximum charging power of 90 and 105 kW, respectively. This translates to charging times of 23 and 24 minutes to go from 10% to 80%. "Or 115 km in just 10 minutes," according to Pifarré. The adoption of the new platform also means front-wheel drive, which, combined with the wheels being positioned at the very front of the body (the wheelbase is 2.60 meters), allows for reasonably spacious rear seats and a trunk capacity of up to 441 liters, 90 more than the combustion-engine Polo. This is a very good figure, the same as the Raval but 34 less than the Epiq. Furthermore, recurring issues from previous ID models have been addressed. For example, the driver's door now includes controls for all four power windows, and the dashboard and steering wheel feature significantly more buttons, eliminating the need to use the 13-inch central multimedia screen and reducing distractions. An interesting feature is the ability to configure this display, along with the 10-inch instrument cluster (both standard on all versions), with a retro configuration that mimics the analog gauges of early Polo models and displays a radio dial (when tuned to a station) or a cassette player (for use with Spotify, for example). Additionally, it incorporates advanced driver assistance systems and voice control VOLKSWAGEN
