The standard equipment includes 420-millimeter steel discs at the front and 400-millimeter discs at the rear, while 440-millimeter and 410-millimeter ceramic discs are available as options, resulting in a total weight reduction of approximately 30 kilograms. With these ceramic discs, Audi claims the RS 5 needs only 30.6 meters to stop from 100 km/h
The steering has also been adapted, with a more direct ratio (13:1) and integrated with the electronic stability control. And, regarding the braking system, it adopts a brake-by-wire system capable of combining regenerative and friction braking
