The Proba-3 probe consists of a space-based solar telescope and a second satellite (a coronagraph) carrying a mask capable of obscuring the Sun. By achieving perfect alignment between the telescope satellite, the mask satellite, and the Sun, an artificial total solar eclipse was successfully produced on June 4, revealing the solar corona in all its splendor through a green filter. This spectacular experiment demonstrated that the entire Proba-3 system is in perfect working order, following the concerning loss of contact with the mask satellite that occurred in March.
