Tossa de Mar (Girona)

We conclude our journey facing the ever-alluring Mediterranean. Tossa de Mar exudes glamour and the essence of summer. Filmmaker Albert Lewin chose this spot in the Girona region to shoot *Pandora and the Flying Dutchman* in 1951, and--naturally--the unforgettable Ava Gardner left her mark. Since last year, guided tours of the film's locations have been offered to commemorate the 75th anniversary of its production. Beyond its cinematic appeal, Tossa de Mar is well worth a visit in its own right. It is a delight to wander the narrow streets of the Vila Vella, walk along its ancient walls, and take in the views of its main coves and the deep blue of the *Mare Nostrum*. MUNICIPALITIES
