The FC Barcelona player, currently on loan at AS Monaco, has officially embarked on a new professional journey by joining the music project of the record label Music Brokers. The agreement signifies the start of his artistic career and makes him the first player developed at the blaugrana club to venture into music.
His first release will be the single "Sea Como Sea", scheduled for June 19, 2026, with global distribution through The Orchard (Sony Music).
The project is not just a one-time debut but is conceived as a long-term artistic career. From the beginning, the Music Brokers team has been directly involved in the artist's creative development. The CEO and co-founder of the label, Federico Scialabba, has explained that Ansu does not fit the idea of a "footballer who sings" but rather that of an artist who has progressively and organically developed his musical side.
As explained by Ansu Fati himself, his connection with music began during his knee injury recovery in 2020 when he started writing songs as a form of personal expression. The project took its final shape after his arrival at AS Monaco in 2025, when he began working more consistently in studios in Nice alongside the producer Gambinoalaprod, in sessions where his teammate and friend Paul Pogba also participated.
Regarding this new phase, the footballer has pointed out that signing with Music Brokers formalizes something that had been happening privately for years, emphasizing that the creative process has been crucial in solidifying his decision.
'Sea Como Sea' offers a fusion of styles reflecting his life journey, combining Afrobeats, reggaeton, and Amapiano in one track. The release will also include an alternative version titled 'Sea Como Sea (Amapiano Version)'.
This move represents a unique development within FC Barcelona, which in recent years has had connections with the music industry through collaborations with international artists, albeit always as external actions. In this case, it is the first active player from the club to pursue a music career as an artist.
Developed in La Masia, Anssumane Fati made his debut with the first team in 2019 and set several records for precocity in competitions such as LaLiga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Clásicos against Real Madrid. Following his loan to AS Monaco, he has regained competitive continuity in Ligue 1 while balancing his sports career with this new artistic project.
