British police arrested last June a man at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in Wales after climbing onto the roof dressed as Death, carrying what appeared to be a sickle and frightening patients and doctors by staring at them intently.
The perpetrator has been identified as Leon Gillespie, a 26-year-old Welshman fined 200 British pounds (around 233 euros) for causing, without reasonable justification, disorder and distress to healthcare staff and patients. Additionally, Gillespie refused to leave the premises when requested, maintaining his attitude even in the presence of the authorities.
As reported by The Sun, the alert was raised when the young man stood at the hospital entrance dressed as the Grim Reaper. The incident required the deployment of four police patrols and several fire trucks to bring him down from the roof.
Gillespie himself admitted to the authorities that in March he had already stolen between 30 and 40 pounds worth of food and cat litter from a Pets at Home store, as well as food and drinks from a Sainsbury's supermarket in May.
