Police have found the body of Noah Woods, the three-year-old with autism and partial deafness who was missing. The body was found in Decoy pond, in Brantham.

Noah was last seen at 3:00 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday at Merriam Close, after separating from his family and heading towards an alley near a housing estate. In the hours leading up to the discovery, the police released the latest images of the child, a video of him playing in a park and several photographs, to request public cooperation in the search.

Through an official statement, Superintendent Tom Pearse, from Suffolk Police, confirmed the recovery: "Police and firefighters teams recovered the body of a child from Decoy pond in Brantham this afternoon, unfortunately."

Volunteers broke down in tears in the garden of the Brantham Leisure Centre when Pearse informed them of the news: "They will have heard by now," he said. "Above all, our thoughts are with Noah's family and all those who knew him."
