British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as PAC in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Neville during his time in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), has passed away at the age of 40, as confirmed by AEW. The death occurred just a day after his participation in the 'All Out' event held at the NOW Arena in Chicago. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Born in Newcastle, Satterley began his career in 2004 and went through some of the world's top wrestling companies. In WWE, where he competed as Neville, he was the NXT Champion and a two-time Cruiserweight Champion. In 2019, he joined AEW, where he won several titles and became one of the most recognizable wrestlers in the company for his spectacular aerial style.
His last match took place at 'All Out', where he faced Andrade El Ídolo for the National Championship. Andrade emerged victorious and retained the title. Just a day later, AEW announced the wrestler's death, describing him as someone who could "captivate fans with innovative aerial moves and incredible skill in the ring."
The news prompted numerous expressions of grief from his colleagues. Paul Heyman spoke of a "truly terrible loss" and described Satterley as a "tremendous talent and an even better person." AEW President, Tony Khan, highlighted his "unprecedented athleticism," while British wrestler Will Ospreay wrote: "The greatest export of our country. And also the best human being."
