1,200 kilometers from Madrid, a high-profile public figure has made headlines for a historic TV appearance. Indeed, this Friday morning we learned that Prince William (44) has visited, for the first time, the Graham Norton show. It is actually his first time attending a talk show of this kind.

According to the Prince of Wales' social media, the son of Charles III recorded an episode of the popular TV show this week, which will air this Friday at 10:40 pm. As mentioned by Daily Mail, the interview lasts about 40 minutes and, from what has been seen in a preview, the conversation focuses on the Earthshot Prize. An award created by the heir in 2020 to recognize those who work to care for the planet.

"For many years, I heard stories about environmental issues and one of the things that struck me the most was the negativity and pessimism. So, I started thinking that we could do something more powerful and the idea of organizing an awards ceremony where we could talk about urgency and optimism at the same time emerged. It's about generating enthusiasm," he commented on the initiative.

"There are extraordinary people doing things to protect the world and I believe we could give much more visibility to what they are doing to help them take their projects to the next level, to achieve a greater impact," he said, also emphasizing the importance of discussing solutions and ensuring that climate change "cannot be the effort of a single person or a single organization."

"I love it, and so does my family. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It's a really good TV show," he mentioned, also revealing that he met Ross Kemp - one of the participants - the day after the first episode aired and couldn't help but "poke him" just to see how he reacted. "It's really quite scary," he affirmed.

Furthermore, the British heir to the throne has disclosed that he usually turns to music and movies when he needs to relax. "I love immersing myself in movies that make you think deeply. I also like action movies, but I prefer something a bit different," he explained before revealing his admiration for director Christopher Nolan.

"His movies are fantastic. For example, the Dark Knight saga is psychologically dark and deep and I love that. Nolan takes completely unconventional concepts and turns them into something incredibly entertaining," he expressed enthusiastically.

Likewise, William has opened up about what he would have liked to do if he wasn't destined to be king. And what has been his response? A rather striking declaration. "When I was younger, I wanted to be a police officer. I thought I could be a good one. Then I went through a phase where I wanted to be a DJ, but I wasn't very good at it," he confessed.

According to the preview, at the end of the show, the prince helped Norton decide which person from the audience should fall from the Big Red Chair. A comedic section of the show where participants tell anecdotes and the host decides whether they deserve to continue or be tipped back by a lever. However, it is not yet known exactly who William has chosen.

Similarly, it is unknown whether the royal has discussed Harry or not, who a few days ago gave an interview to GQ magazine, where he talked about his interest in reconciling with his family. "With everything that is happening in the world, the most important thing is reconciliation. That is the key point," he said. However, he also uttered a phrase that many have considered an indirect reference to his brother. "There are people who don't want things to be fixed. But I do," he stated.
