Robbie Williams is back. The British singer announced this Wednesday that his new album, Britpop, will be released this autumn, and he has released his first single, Rocket, with the legendary guitarist of Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi.
"I set out to create the album I wanted to write and release after leaving Take That in 1995," the artist stated in a post on his social media. "It was the peak of britpop and a golden era for British music."
"I have worked with some of my idols on this album," Robbie Williams assures. "It's raw, there are more guitars, and it's an even more lively and epic album than usual," he reveals.
"There's a bit of Brit and definitely, there's also pop," he describes, and admits: "I am immensely proud of this work and excited for the fans to hear it."
The announcement of Robbie Williams' new album comes just before the start of his presentation tour, which will kick off next week in the UK.
