Good times are ahead for Chayanne (57). The Puerto Rican singer is thrilled because his daughter Isadora has just been nominated for the Latin Grammy in the Best New Artist category, one of the highest recognitions worldwide in Latin music.
At almost 25 years old, which she will turn next December, the young woman has turned her childhood dreams into reality. Since she was six years old, she locked herself in her room to write her songs. She has always had a sensitive soul, her five senses capture the beauty of life, and the rhythm in her genes has been qualities that have made her recognized.
Last year, during an interview on the podcast "Cara a cara con Rodner," with Rodner Figueroa, the songwriter stated, "my dad is my superhero." She also revealed that he was a great dad who set aside his star status: "I remember that every time the school year started, we would sit at the table and he would say, 'kids, tell me about your year', 'when is Isa's piano recital?, when is Lolo's basketball game?...'. He would set aside tour days, no matter how much they paid him. So for me, even though he would leave, it was normal, we were a family, we would eat at the table, and then he would leave again."
Isadora has been instilled with the core values of life, including being honest, empathetic, generous, and grateful for what she has in life. For many years, she has been aware that she has entered a profession where ups and downs are constant.
She keeps her feet on the ground, is not flashy, and those who know her say she is a tremendously cheerful person who always wears a huge smile that lights up the room. Hardly anyone can beat her in sociability, which is why she still keeps the same childhood friends and has a great ease in making new ones.
When asked about Chayanne, she proudly admits that she is "daddy's girl" who has always been protected by a man she considers her "inspiration and the most beautiful thing in the world."
The honor of being nominated for the Latin Grammy is proudly shared with her boyfriend, Venezuelan Carlos Santander, who was also nominated last year along with the team of composers who worked with Goyo on his song "Insomnia." It was in October of last year when Carlos posted on Instagram photos of him kissing his girlfriend, marking the official presentation of their relationship.
Although her heart has been broken in the past, Isadora hopes that this relationship works out and becomes a beautiful love story like that of her parents, Chayanne and Marilisa Maronese (55), whom he married in 1992. Their firstborn, Lorenzo, was born five years later and is dedicated to modeling.
Isadora's first single called HBD was released in December 2022 and subsequently she released catchy songs like "Dime qué hago" and "Agüita con sal." She has also appeared in the video "Soltera" by Shakira (48), a close friend of her father. In terms of academic background, she graduated with honors in Musical Composition from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and has always been clear that she wants to establish herself to create her own style.
