Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage. Kidman filed the petition on Tuesday to end the marriage in a Nashville court. The filing indicates that the marriage "has suffered irreconcilable differences".

The document states that both Nicole and Keith have waived spousal support and child support. However, there is a clause stating that Keith has paid child support in advance. Additionally, each will retain their own assets, suggesting the existence of a prenuptial agreement.

The 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress and the 57-year-old Grammy-winning country singer, both originally from Australia, met in 2005 at an event in Los Angeles honoring Australians and married in Sydney the following year. The couple has two daughters together: 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret.

The family has been living separately "since early summer," and currently Kidman is taking care of their daughters together, as confirmed by an unnamed source to TMZ on Monday.

The agreement they have presented stipulates that the daughters will spend 306 days with Nicole and 59 with Keith. They agreed that all major decisions regarding their daughters, such as education and healthcare, will be made jointly.

Meanwhile, People magazine stated that the 'Eyes Wide Shut' actress did not want her relationship with the country music singer to end and that she had been "fighting to save the marriage".

The marriage was the first for Urban and the second for Kidman, who was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. Kidman also has two older children with Cruise.

Sources close to the couple told TMZ that Urban has already found a new love. Several sources linked to Nicole claim that "all signs point to Keith being with another woman. Let's say Nicole doesn't deny it, but she's still surprised." No source can pinpoint the timing. If Keith is indeed with another woman, they could have had a relationship after the separation.

Last year, at the premiere of the Netflix series "The Perfect Couple," Kidman told The Associated Press that the term did not apply to her and Urban. "You're headed for trouble if you consider yourself the perfect couple," she said. "I don't believe in perfection."

A few months earlier, Urban paid tribute to Kidman and made her cry when she received the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. Urban expressed that she showed him "what real love in action looks like" when his substance abuse issues arose almost immediately after their marriage in 2006.

"Four months into our marriage, I'm in rehab for three months," Urban commented. "Nic overcame every negative voice, I'm sure even some of her own, and chose love. And here we are 18 years later."

Kidman's film roles have included "Days of Thunder," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Moulin Rouge," and "The Hours," for which she won an Academy Award for portraying author Virginia Woolf. More recently, she has worked in television, including the series "Nine Perfect Strangers" and "Big Little Lies," for which she won Emmy awards as both an actress and producer.

Urban has been a major country star since the 90s, with hits like "Somebody Like You" and "Blue Ain't Your Color." He has won four Grammy Awards and over a dozen Country Music Association Awards.
