Since the announcement of the breakup of Nicole Kidman (58) and Keith Urban (57) this week, every gesture made by both artists prior to the news is being scrutinized. With no comments from the musician and actress yet, who filed for divorce on Tuesday, the media have been trying to find answers to the reasons behind the 19-year marriage that seemed rock solid.

According to TMZ, the singer has moved on with another woman. "The rumor is circulating all over Nashville. It is believed he is with a younger woman from the music world. Everyone wants to know who she is, but so far, it's a mystery," stated a music industry publicist from Nashville.

Keith Urban's latest move, however, has provided some clues as he changed a song dedicated to Nicole Kidman to include another woman's name. According to People magazine, the singer altered the lyrics of The Fighter during a performance last Saturday. The original lyrics said: "When they try to reach you, darling, I'll be the fighter," and the new version included "when they try to reach you, Maggie, I'll be your guitarist."

The mentioned Maggie is an emerging country singer who plays guitar and violin at Urban's concerts. It was she, Maggie Baugh, who is 25 years old, who hinted at this by posting a clip of the concert on her Instagram account. She captioned the image with: "Did he just say that?"

As expected, fans have not hesitated to react. Some comments include "OK, leaving Nicole seems more suspicious," "It's wrong to do this with a song inspired by his wife," or "Wow, that song was made for Nicole. Doing that tells us what's really going on."

In an interview with Billboard in 2017, the artist confessed that it was Nicole who inspired the lyrics of The Fighter. "The song is about wanting to heal someone, wanting to take care of someone, wanting to protect someone. It's really like a vow in many ways." The Let It Roll singer subtly referred to the role Nicole Kidman played during their courtship and subsequent marriage. "Just four months after our wedding, everything fell apart. I spent three months in rehab not knowing what would happen to us. Nicole chose love above all," he confessed during the 2024 American Film Institute gala honoring Kidman.

Despite her youth, Maggie Baugh plays everything from classical music to country. She shows great skill on social media, especially on TikTok, where she has posted 247 videos showcasing her talent under the hashtag #finishthelick. In 2023, she released Dear Me, her debut album, which garnered over 500,000 digital streams, earning her the 19th spot on the iTunes country album charts in the United States and the 9th spot in Australia. Following this success, Urban noticed her and asked her to join his tour.

The last time the media captured images of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban when they were still seemingly a happy couple was on June 20 in Nashville, where they attended the FIFA Club World Cup match. The event took place just a few kilometers from their marital home. Five days later, the actress posted a black and white photo on Instagram for their 19th wedding anniversary, embracing her husband with the caption "Happy anniversary, darling." His response was quite lukewarm. Just a heart-shaped emoji.

The breakup has caught everyone by surprise. On Wednesday, a day after it was reported that the actress had filed for divorce, Daily Mail obtained access to the court documents detailing the main points regarding the custody of their two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14). Nicole will have them for 306 days a year, while he would have them for only 59 days, in addition to every other weekend, Father's Day, and Thanksgiving.
