Just like her colleague Maribel Verdú (55) did for a long time, Jennifer Aniston (56) also had to endure recurring questions about why she was not a mother

For the first time, the queen of American television has spoken out about this very private aspect in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar.

"They (the press) didn't know my story, or what I had been going through for the past 20 years trying to start a family, because I don't go out and tell them about my medical issues," she asserts. "There comes a point where you can't ignore the narrative anymore that I won't have children because I'm selfish or work too much, it affects me. I'm just a human being. We are all human beings. That's why I thought: 'What the hell?" she says about the false theory that has circulated about her refusal to become a mother.

One of the toughest moments was when the tabloids insisted that she had separated from Brad Pitt (61) in 2005 after five years of marriage because she had prioritized work over motherhood. And, therefore, the actor left her. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Harper's Bazaar report and interview were conducted at the actress's 18 million euro, nearly 1,000 square meter mansion in Bel Air, one of the most expensive areas of Los Angeles. Comfortably seated on one of the sofas in her residence, and never losing sight of her three doggies Sophy, Clyde, and Lord Chesterfield whom she showers with affection constantly, she confesses that she is in a happy moment.

Currently, she is shining again, and increasing her considerable fortune, as she stars alongside her close friend Reese Witherspoon in the series The Morning Show. According to IMDb, she negotiated a salary of two million dollars per episode (1.7 million euros), not including the benefits as executive producer. According to Celebrity Net Worth, her fortune amounts to 320 million dollars (just over 275 million euros), making her one of the wealthiest women in the industry.

There are rumors that she isin love with Jim Curtis, a hypnotist and wellness expert with whom she has been photographed on a yacht in Mallorca. She neither confirms nor denies, but those closest to her assure that she has a special sparkle in her eyes.

In the magazine, she has had time to reminisce about the past, specifically when her family moved from Los Angeles to New York. She recalls how traumatic her parents' separation was, actors Jon Aniston and Nancy Dow: "Their divorce was not amicable in any way, and it was a time when there wasn't much awareness of how to behave for the child's sake," she remembers. "That was the least of their concerns [of my parents], it was more, how could they hurt each other? And I was just a pawn."

Currently, Aniston is fully immersed in filming the series I'm Glad My Mom Died, which will air on Apple TV+ next year. She also considers starring in a revival of the series Friends closed off because without Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), who passed away in 2023, nothing would be the same, and threatens to act on Broadway.
