Influencer and singer Maria de la Rosa, known as De la Rosa, died early Saturday at the age of 22 during a shooting in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) stated, citing witnesses, that several people were inside a parked vehicle when two men approached and started shooting. De la Rosa was taken to a hospital, where she passed away.
No information has been provided about the shooters. TMZ reports that two other people who were in the car are in critical condition.
According to Los Angeles Times, De la Rosa had released her first single No me llames in August. In her last Instagram post, where she had over 41,500 followers, De la Rosa is seen with a guitar in a recording studio with the caption "busy cooking in the stu," hinting at a new song.
