Recently, if someone loses weight suddenly, they are suspected of having injected Ozempic or any other popular weight loss medication. The latest to be victim of this rumor is Michelle Obama, who reappeared this weekend in a photo shoot to present her latest book looking much slimmer and rejuvenated than ever.
The former First Lady, aged 61, has written a book about her fashion biography, that is, about the evolution of her taste and wardrobe throughout her life in a book titled The Look, and upon returning to the media spotlight, she showcased her new figure, much more stylized than before.
Michelle stood before the camera of her friend Annie Leibovitz, who shared images of the shoot on her Instagram account. Barack Obama's wife posed in a dark gray V-neck t-shirt and worn-out blue jeans that revealed an unknown wasp waist on her. Besides being slim, Michelle is toned, it is evident that she has been exercising while losing weight.
'Is it me or does Michelle Obama seem to be taking semaglutide to lose weight?' read a tweet shortly after these images surfaced. It is worth noting that during her husband's term, the former First Lady championed the fight against childhood obesity and was very vocal about the benefits of healthy eating, inaugurating gardens or playing with broccoli-shaped dolls and other vegetables.
Daily Mail reports that rumors about Michelle's figure started circulating in March, after Meredith Koop, her stylist, posted a photo of her noticeably slimmer. They also recall that in 2022, , Obama spoke candidly about her struggles with menopause and revealed that she experienced intense hot flashes and "progressive" weight gain that "slowly took over" her, prompting her to be "more conscious" about her diet and exercise.
