Actor Peter Greene, a supporting actor known for his role as the iconic villain Zed in Pulp Fiction, has been found dead in his New York apartment at the age of 60, as confirmed by his representative, Gregg Edwards.

"He was just a great guy. Possibly one of the best supporting actors on the planet; he has worked with everyone," Edwards pointed out.

The causes of Greene's death are currently unknown, as he was still active and working on several projects for 2026, including a documentary about USAID, the United States Agency for International Development.

Greene, born in 1965 in New Jersey, made his television debut in a police series called Hardball. He landed some of his first leading roles in Laws of Gravity in 1992 and Clean, Shaven in 1993, according to IMDB. In 1994, he played the memorable villain in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. That same year, he portrayed another main villain alongside Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in The Mask.

He has also appeared in films such as The Break-Up, with Jennifer Aniston; Under Siege 2, starring Steven Seagal; The Usual Suspects, or From Dusk Till Dawn.

Greene was working on two projects when he passed away, including a documentary about the withdrawal of federal government funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), according to Edwards.

"We have been friends for over a decade. Simply the kindest man," Edwards added.
