According to the obituary, she passed away "peacefully surrounded by loved ones at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky. The funeral is scheduled for this Monday, the 22nd, and her closest family has requested donations to the Knoedler Memorial Library in Augusta.

It is noteworthy that Adelia became a widow in 2004 after her husband Norman Zeidler's heart attack, a retired army captain. During their wedding in 1987, George read some psalms, and his aunt, the famous singer Rosemary Clooney, emotionally sang a romantic song. The couple had two children, Nick Zeidler and Allison Zeidler.

With this sad news, Nick Clooney (91), former news anchor, and Nina Bruce Warren (86), former councilwoman and beauty queen, lose their firstborn daughter.

In life, Adelia was a very discreet woman who rarely appeared in public alongside her famous brother. Her last public appearance dates back to 2014 when she attended the wedding in Venice of the two-time Oscar winner and Amal Alamuddin (47), one of the world's most prestigious lawyers specializing in human rights, international criminal law, and extradition. The couple has twins, Ella (8) and Alexander (8).

In an exclusive interview, Adelia confessed in 2012 to the New York Daily News that she had dreamed of becoming an actress, but decided not to pursue it because she was afraid of rejection. "Yes, there is a part of me that would have loved to become a famous actress or something like that. I enjoy acting and I was quite good at it, but I didn't have thick enough skin for it," she said.

Adelia's obituary highlighted that "in high school, her academic achievements qualified her to be a National Merit Scholar. Her love for reading connected her with other readers in a local book club. She was also a member of the Augusta Art Guild and served as the grand marshal of the annual White Christmas Parade in Augusta."
