Timothée Chalamet has won his first Golden Globe of his career for his work in the movie Marty Supreme. He won as Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical. He beat Leonardo DiCaprio, the star of this year's Golden Globe winner, One Battle After Another.

In his speech, Timothée Chalamet thanked his family and his girlfriend, influencer Kylie Jenner, who was with him in the audience. "To my parents and my partner, I love you. Thank you very much," he said. The actor also won the Best Actor award at the Critics Choice Awards, where he dedicated more space to Jenner in his speech: "Thanks to my partner of three years. I love you. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

This is the first time Timothée Chalamet has won the Golden Globe, and he achieved it with his fifth nomination. He has also been nominated twice for the Oscar and four times for the Bafta, but has never won either of those awards.

"My father instilled in me a spirit of gratitude when I was a child: 'You must always be grateful for what you have.' That has allowed me to leave past ceremonies empty-handed but with my head held high, simply grateful to be here," said Chalamet with the award in hand, finally. "But I would be lying if I said that those moments didn't make this moment much sweeter."

Chalamet also thanked the director of Marty Supreme, Josh Safdie. "Josh Safdie, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for this role. Thank you for believing in me," said Chalamet in his speech. He also expressed gratitude to his co-stars, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Tyler Okonma, Fran Drescher, and Kevin O'Leary.

Marty Supreme tells the story of the rise, fall, and reinvention of a marginal ping pong prodigy, a charismatic and reckless player who turns his talent into a mode of survival. In the movie, Timothée Chalamet portrays a brilliant and self-destructive hustler, obsessed with winning and being recognized, who confuses success with personal validation.
