Accustomed to any news about Home Alone (1990) being almost implicitly linked artistically and informatively to Macaulay Culkin (45), the truth is that behind the universe of one of the best Christmas movies, there are also other, less bright stars that occasionally attract attention.
One of the famous thieves from the film, Daniel Stern (68), who played Marv Merchants - his accomplice was the unforgettable Joe Pesci (82) - has just made headlines after being accused of soliciting prostitution at a motel in Camarillo, California on December 10.
According to a spokesperson for the Ventura County District Attorney's Office, where Stern currently resides, the actor was charged on January 12, and the arraignment, originally scheduled for the next day, was postponed to February 6. As TMZ reported, if Stern is found guilty, he could face a fine of $1,000 and up to six months in prison.
After saving enough money to live comfortably for the rest of his days, Daniel Stern distanced himself from the Hollywood scene, bought a farm in Ventura (California), and has since dedicated himself to raising livestock, growing vegetables and fruits. He also works as a bronze sculptor and has created public sculptures for cities like San Diego, Palm Desert, or Pasadena.
Leaving Hollywood did not mean he gave up acting, as he continues to participate in television and film projects. This year, the release of Everything's Just Fine is planned, where he serves as director and screenwriter.
Daniel is married to fellow actress Laure Mattos since 1981, and they have three children, Henry (43), an environmental lawyer who serves as a state senator in California, Sophie (39), and Ella (36). There is little information about the latter two as they have always preferred to stay out of the spotlight.
