The actress's lawyer told TMZ, "Mrs. Richards has shown extraordinary courage, not only in surviving the abuse but also in maintaining her dignity amidst a continuous campaign of false and malicious statements from her ex-husband to the media. Her strength, grace, and determination have been unwavering. Today's ruling rightly holds Mr. Phypers accountable for his actions."
While married, Denise allegedly suffered domestic violence, both physical and verbal, from Phypers. In fact, images of the actress with one of her eyes completely bruised were even published. Additionally, at various points in their relationship, the lead actress in the remake of Blue Lagoon: The Awakening (2012) was reportedly threatened with death.
The couple divorced in July 2025 after seven years of marriage. Currently, Richards is still in conflict with her ex-husband because he wants a significant portion of her earnings from OnlyFans videos. According to Page Six, Aaron claims he helped the actress create her account on the website and therefore owns "the intellectual property rights to most, if not all, of the images used on her page."
According to various U.S. media reports, the actress reportedly earns up to $300,000 monthly and Aaron aims to, at the very least, take half of those earnings. Aaron is reportedly facing eviction from their former marital home due to $84,000 in unpaid rent. Denise had moved to another mansion two years prior. Faced with this situation, Denise has requested the judge to deny Aaron's request.
Apparently, the reason is clear, as TMZ recently revealed that Denise legally demanded an updated declaration of income and expenses that her ex-husband was supposed to submit to the court on Friday, January 23.
Denise had met Aaron at his wellness clinic Quantum 360, where the actress underwent various holistic treatments and anti-aging procedures, specialties of her ex-husband. In her reality show, Denise Richards: It's Complicated aired on Bravo, she once recounted their first encounter.
The actress told her husband that the first time they were together was not even a first date, as they had intimate relations in one of the rooms of his clinic.
Denise did not want to ask him out, as her only desire was to be with him, which she achieved. At that time, he was married to actress Nicolette Sheridan (62), one of the unforgettable stars of Desperate Housewives (2004-2009). Denise and Aaron started dating in 2017, but they did not marry until September 2018 because he had recently finalized his divorce. The wedding took place in Malibu.
By the way, the actress had previously been married to Charlie Sheen (60) from 2002 to 2005, with whom she has two daughters, Samantha, who will turn 21 in March, and Lola Rose, who will turn 20 in June. Additionally, she has an adopted daughter named Eloise (16).
