One of the most well-known presenters on American television, Savannah Guthrie (54), co-host of ABCNews, is currently going through a tough time. Her mother, Nancy, 84 years old, mysteriously disappeared from Tucson, Arizona, last Saturday night. She was reported missing the following day.

When authorities arrived at the home and began the investigations, the local sheriff, Chris Nanos, publicly commented: "Nancy did not leave there of her own free will." He stated that the place was being analyzed as if it were a crime scene. Later, he clarified in a statement that she was taken "possibly in the middle of the night, which includes a possible kidnapping or abduction".

Born in Australia in 1981, Savannah was two years old when she migrated with her family to the United States. At 16, she experienced one of the hardest blows of her life when her father, Charlee, suddenly passed away from a heart attack.

Being the youngest of the three children in the family, she was the most affected by this tragedy. As she recalled in 2024 on the podcast Making Space, "I can remember my mother coming towards me to try to hug me and quickly say: 'Dad died'."

Fortunately, Savannah found solace in college where she graduated in journalism and law, the latter with the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude. After working for various local and state television stations, she was hired by NBC News in 2007, where she still holds her position.

In 2005, she married Mark Orchard, a BBC News presenter from whom she divorced four years later. The journalist went through a lot, as the divorce was quite traumatic.

That same year, she met Michael Feldman at her 40th-anniversary party, director of FGS Global, specializing in communication strategy for various corporations, non-profit organizations, advocacy organizations, and individuals. They married in March 2014 and two days later announced that she was four months pregnant.

Their first daughter, Vale, was born in August 2014; their son Charles came into the world in December 2016. Regarding her first experience with motherhood, she declared: "I feel so different. I feel like life has just begun. Honestly, I can't get over the joy it brings me. It's simply indescribable."

In the podcast People Every Day, she confessed that her daughter wants to be an actress. In this regard, she said: "I always tell her: 'Darling, talent and hard work are unbeatable... Keep going. I think you have so much talent. You seem amazing, with so much effort."

About her son Charles, she posted on Instagram on one of his birthdays that he is her "little firecracker who lights up my heart."

Her husband Michael also does not spare praise for his family as they are both very active on social media. "10 years, 2 children, so many laughs. I couldn't love you more" and in another Instagram post, he said that "there is only one mom in our family and she holds it all together."
