Seven-time world champion, Jutta Leerdam (27), thrilled fans by winning the gold medal at the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Olympics in the women's 1,000 meters speed skating event, also breaking the Olympic record.
With over six million followers on Instagram and another 2.5 million on TikTok, the Dutch athlete arrived at the Olympic area amidst criticism for her perceived arrogance.
Instead of joining her team, she chose to travel by private jet with her entourage and, of course, with her fiancé, Jake Paul (29), the boxer and influencer she has been engaged to since March 2005.
Analyst and former footballer Johan Derksen expressed in the Daily Mail that "her behavior (Jutta) seems horrible, like that of a diva. If I were her coach, I wouldn't tolerate it. Little by little, the whole of the Netherlands is starting to get a bit tired of her behavior."
Jutta and Jake announced their engagement on Instagram in March 2025. In one of the photos, a beautiful oval-shaped diamond ring surrounded by diamonds was visible, with the caption: "We are engaged, looking forward to spending eternity together," wrote the athlete.
Both started their courtship through Instagram and officially confirmed their relationship in April 2023, with Paul holding Leerdam's hand in a carousel of images where he stated, "Now I am Dutch." Since then, they have been one of the most prominent couples in the sports world. Before their relationship blossomed, both had experienced heartbreak as Logan was engaged to influencer and model Julia Rose, whom he broke up with in 2022, and Leerdam had been in a five-year relationship with Koen Verweij, also a Dutch speed skater.
Jutta's passion for sports stems from her childhood, as her parents allowed her to practice gymnastics, tennis, and, above all, hockey, as a way to tire her out before coming home. She had so much energy that her father called her 'the little bomb'. Her three brothers couldn't keep up with her.
At the age of eleven, she started focusing on speed skating, and thanks to her strength and endurance, she was able to refine the technique that would propel her to become one of the best professionals in the world. Aware that she would miss out on much of her adolescence, Jutta occasionally indulged in partying with her friends, but there came a time when she decided to slow down.
The rigorous training sessions left her exhausted by eleven at night, which was the deadline for going to bed. Thanks to her consistency and the guidance of her coaches at an elite school, she has managed to reach the top.
In her free time, she loves posing as a model, showcasing her sculpted body for prestigious brands. Jutta is addicted to luxury and has found it alongside her future husband, who resides in a ¤15 million mansion in Puerto Rico, owns a private jet, and has an impressive collection of cars such as a Mercedes Maybach, a Ferrari SF-90, and a Lamborghini Huracán.
