The alleged abuses of power by Kanye West (48) could cost him a legal setback if Tony Saxon, his former construction manager in the renovation of the mansion he owns in Malibu, gets his way

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Saxon wants to call Bianca Censori (31), Kanye's wife, to testify in the trial scheduled for February 21. Many wonder what kind of information the Australian architect and performance artist could provide. But the crux of the matter lies precisely in the fact that Censori was hired in 2020 as the head of architecture, thus being involved in the controversial renovation process of the exclusive property.

Tony was hired in September 2021 to oversee the remodeling works and also act as a caretaker and security guard. He claims that out of the $20,000 weekly he was supposed to receive, he only got one payment, worked 16-hour days and was forced to sleep on the floor of the construction site with only his clothes as a blanket while supervising the renovation.

Things started to get complicated in November when Kanye wanted to alter the design by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, winner of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, to turn it into a horror bunker. Kim Kardashian's ex-husband wanted to remove all windows and replace the electrical grid with generators that posed a fire hazard. "If you don't do as I say, you won't work for me," Saxon claims the rapper told him. After refusing, he was fired. West also wanted to replace the stairs with slides for his children. All these demands were made without the approval of the local council.

As Saxon mentioned a few weeks ago, "he wanted everything to be open and very dark. No doors, no windows, no fixtures, just concrete. He couldn't even have food in that house because there was no fridge."

Saxon sued Kanye for unpaid wages, emotional distress, and medical expenses.

Capricious, eccentric, and tired of the situation, West decided to put the mansion up for sale for $53 million. Finally, in September 2024, he sold it for $21 million. This meant a loss of over $35 million compared to its purchase price, which was $57.3 million.
