Nothing but trouble. In May, Cher will turn 80 years old and far from her youngest son, Elijah Blue Allman (49) - the result of her second marriage to musician Gregg Allman, who passed away in 2017 - returning to the right path, he continues to cause her major headaches. Last week, the singer had serious run-ins with the law.
As reported by several international media outlets, including People, CBS, and Daily Mail, Elijah was arrested on March 1 for breaking and entering into a residence in Windham, New Hampshire, USA.
The homeowner, frightened, hid inside a closet from where she called the police. When law enforcement arrived, they found the diva's son comfortably smoking a cigarette on the couch in the residence. Additionally, Elijah claimed to the officers that he had been given permission to force open the front door. He was provisionally detained in prison.
But that's not all, because Cher's other son, Chaz Bono (57) - the son she had with Sonny Bono - had already gotten into serious trouble a few days earlier. Not far from Windham, Elijah illegally entered the prestigious St. Paul's School in Concord on February 27.
Daily Mail provided a detailed account of the events that kept the students terrified for a while. Elijah entered the private campus in a robe with the firm intention of entering the female residence without really knowing what his true intentions were.
Before he entered the rooms, the security service detained him for assault, trespassing, and disturbing the peace after allegedly confronting staff and students. They stated that the individual was acting erratically around the campus and trying to approach some students to talk to them.
According to Daily Mail, "the school said he identified himself as a father, but he looked like a real junkie. He had a cane and a long robe." He even entered the dining hall, shouting that he wanted to make friends, but "he kept hitting on all the girls. It was a bit terrifying for everyone," one witness revealed.
One source told the British outlet: "One of my friends told me, 'A junkie came to the campus and started offering methamphetamine to some girls,' but I'm not sure if that's really what he did, I just heard it." This person also claimed that he was "right in front of a girls' residence trying to enter, but they shut the door in his face."
Certain teachers tried to confront him, and Elijah even pushed one of them with his cane, leading to his prompt arrest by security personnel. Daily Mail stated that the headmistress, Kathy Giles, sent an email to parents informing them that a woman had dropped him off at the prestigious educational institution's door, but after being questioned, she was released. The same happened with Elijah shortly after.
Aware of Elijah's mental state, the singer of Believe requested in December 2023 temporary guardianship of her son due to the string of legal issues linked to his alcohol and drug consumption.
Following this decision, the troubled singer accused his mother of "kidnapping" him, and less than a year later, the request was dismissed because mother and son had reached a private agreement that ultimately proved futile.
Elijah was married until last year to Marieangela King (38), who filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable differences." The King band member admitted to People magazine that they had "a beautiful 13-year journey, full of memories that I will always cherish.
