In the unbridled frenzy that Hollywood feels for making predictions, Katherine LaNasa can boast of being one of the most envied women.

Not only for achieving tremendous success at 59 years old with the series The Pitt, but also for being married (in her third marriage) to one of the most handsome men in modern television, Grant Show (64). Yes, the unforgettable Jake Hanson from Melrose Place (1992-1997) and Blake Carrington in Dynasty (2017-2022).

LaNasa and Show met in 2006 during the filming of Big Love, became great friends, and used to spend a lot of time bowling together. Until eight months later, the actor gathered the courage to take their relationship to the next level. They got married in 2012 and have a daughter, Eloise (11).

When asked about the secret of their marriage, the actors did not hesitate to tell People that they agreed to "meet in the same city and be in the same bed at least once every 10 days. So, either I fly or she flies."

The couple spent over two million dollars last year on a house very close to the hills where the giant Hollywood sign hangs.

After working as a ballet dancer and as a choreographer, LaNasa made her film debut with a small role in Catchfire (1990), starring Jodie Foster and Dennis Hopper, whom LaNasa had married the year before. Despite the three decades between them, they loved each other madly and had a son, the actor Henry Lee Hopper (35). They divorced in 1992.

In a recent statement to Associated Press, Katherine commented: "I have children who are 24 years apart, and therefore, I feel like I have been a mother all my life." Her second husband was actor French Stewart (62).

Despite appearing in well-known series such as CSI: Miami, Grey's Anatomy,Two and a Half Men, or Dynasty, Katherine LaNasa's name did not start to gain prominence until she accepted the script for The Pitt, where she plays the head nurse Dana Evans.

But a year earlier, the actress was in a bottomless pit. She had been out of work for quite some time and had been diagnosed with breast cancer. "I felt like a failure and was full of regrets," she confessed in a recent interview with Stephen Colbert, one of the most famous late-night show hosts in the United States.

The actress found inspiration after watching Anderson Cooper in an interview where he talked about the feeling of gratitude for the good and the bad that life has to offer.

That way of living helped LaNasa face cancer differently, to see light where there was none before. "Accepting the idea that sometimes you lose helped me relax," she told Colbert.

In addition to her illness, the actress fell into deep despair due to the lack of work, so the idea of moving from Hollywood to Atlanta crossed her mind. However, something magical happened, and as Katherine has mentioned on occasion, the positive thinking she began to embrace brought the script of The Pitt with it.

For her role, she won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a drama series last year and a few months ago, she received the Screen Actors Guild Award.
