From beef, pork, tuna, vegan, smash, brioche buns, or colorful buns, cooked over charcoal and with unique toppings like Iberian bacon jam, black truffle sauce, or raclette cheese... The quintessential American dish keeps reinventing itself thanks to chefs' creativity and the introduction of new ingredients, remaining one of the most consumed bites worldwide.

On the occasion of its International Day (May 28), we suggest a varied tour of small eateries, trendy terraces, and even elegant dining rooms not to miss some of Madrid's best burgers.

Hundred Burgers

Starting with this brand that, for the third consecutive year, boasts having the best burger in the world, according to the prestigious ranking The World's Best Burger. It's the Singular (dry-aged burger of Galician blonde beef with cheddar cheese, mom's BBQ sauce, bacon, caramelized onion, and camembert cream). Founded in Valencia, the brand by Álex González-Urbón and Ezequiel Maldjian has four locations in Madrid and holds the record for being the only non-American burger joint to achieve such recognition. Their success lies in the homemade preparation of all ingredients: from baking the demi-brioche bread to daily chopping of the Galician blonde beef, dry-aged for 60 days. Their menu features 12 varieties, including, in addition to the Singular, the Loser known for its thicker meat and the combination of gochujang sauce and caramelized onion. The Satisfaction is a double 110-gram meat bite, accompanied by smoked mayonnaise and crispy bacon, while the Paul Finch incorporates a dry-aged T-bone for 120 days. This month, they also introduce the TreePeat, with 200 grams of meat, American cheese, pickles, smoked bacon, fried cashew powder, Alberto sauce, and brioche bread with parmesan cheese gratin on top. Price: 11.90-14.90 euros.
