The former supermodel from the 80s is about to turn 70. With Mick Jagger, she has had four children, enjoys her three grandchildren, and resides in an 18th-century mansion of 1,300 square meters in Oxfordshire that she acquired after the divorce agreement with Murdoch

In early July, Jerry Hall will turn 70 years old. For this reason, the American model has granted an extensive interview to British Vogue where she reviews the most important moments of her long career. She lived a golden era that many still envy.

For example, her late-night parties at Studio 54 with her close friend Andy Warhol, who painted six portraits of her, one of which hangs in the dining room of Holmwood, the 18th-century Georgian mansion in Henley, Oxfordshire, that Jerry retained after the divorce agreement with Rupert Murdoch.

The agreement prevented her from discussing her marriage and, of course, leaking any information for the series Succession, inspired by the life of the founder of the media group News Corporation.

The couple, who were married from 2016 to 2022, bought the 1,300 square meter property, with 11 en-suite bedrooms and a dozen hectares to live their love away from prying flashes.

The breakup was traumatic, something Jerry Hall never expected. She received an email from Murdoch, read it, and was stunned. As reported by various British and American media, the magnate wrote: "Jerry, unfortunately, I have decided to end our marriage. We have certainly had good times, but I have much to do... my New York lawyer will contact yours immediately."

During the interview with Vogue, the model has no problem discussing whether it is possible to remain friends with exes. She admits it depends on the circumstances and, above all, if they have had children.

But referring to Murdoch, she responds: "Not everyone wants to be friends with all their exes, right? Some people are not very kind. But I believe that when you have children with someone it is better to be so." When asked if she has seen him again, she confesses: "I haven't seen him since the divorce."

In recent years, Jerry has managed to maintain a strong friendship with her first husband, Mick Jagger (82), whom she was married to from 1977 to 1999. When Hall discovered that he had been unfaithful with Brazilian model Luciana Morad and that she was expecting a child, she immediately filed for divorce. They were estranged for quite some time.

The couple had four children, Elizabeth (42), James (40), Georgia May (34), and Gabriel (28), who have made them grandparents three times. "I love being a grandmother. It's the best, I love it," she recently confessed to ¡Hola! Jerry is teaching them organic gardening and they help her with the chickens.

"He is a brilliant grandfather," Hall has assured Vogue about Jagger. She added that all the children adore his fiancée, choreographer Melanie Hamrick (38). "Mick is a great diplomat. All the children love each other very much. All the mothers of the children love each other. It's just weird, right? It just worked out that way," she revealed.

She has given her children plenty of freedom to grow up being responsible and making their own mistakes. Through the pages of Vogue she states: "With my children, I had very low expectations. I just told them: 'I don't care if you go to college. I don't care if you have a successful career. I don't care if you don't have money. The only thing you can't do is use heroin."

This summer, Jerry Hall has planned a big party to celebrate her 70th birthday with over 200 friends and family. For her, aging is not a drama, she likes to show her wrinkles, she continues to work, and has just renewed her contract for the reality show The Celebrity Traitors.
