The situation with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seems more like a state secret than the preparations for what will be the wedding of the millennium. According to The New York Times, the wedding could take place on July 3 at the iconic Madison Square Garden, for which they would have paid several million dollars in rental fees.

According to this source, a municipal official confirmed that "Madison Square Garden plans to host the wedding festivities on July 3." As all information about the couple is shrouded in a massive rumor, for months the press has become a sort of detective agency to provide new details about this grand celebration of love.

It has also been reported that several players from the Kansas City Chiefs, the team where Kelce has played since the beginning of his professional career, have booked rooms at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square for those same dates.

According to TMZ, event organizers have requested a permit from the relevant authorities in New York to close several surrounding streets to Madison Square Garden from July 2 to noon on July 4. This latter date will also be significant because it will mark the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.

Dozens of trucks, tents, catering services, security, florists, marquees... are expected to be set up around the venue, which has a capacity for 22,000 people. The interior is a huge space that they will have to adapt to their own needs, as it has been reported that only between 1,000 and 1,200 people are expected to attend the wedding. To achieve this, several wedding planners have already stated that they will disguise the empty spaces with a decoration resembling a large garden.

For Swift and Kelce, taking the step towards "I do" is the most special moment of their lives, and for their fans, it represents the culmination of a fairytale love story. The Swifties are eager to know what wedding dress America's sweetheart will wear, who in May 2024 entered Forbes' list of the new billionaires with a fortune of $1.1 billion, largely from the successful The Eras Tour.

Fashion magazines have started making predictions about who could be chosen and, consequently, who would set trends for the new wedding season, as happened in 1997 when Caroline Bessette married John Kennedy Jr.

For example, British Vogue favors five designers. Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Westwood are top contenders because they have also been chosen on numerous occasions in their personal lives. But there are three others that would give her a practically new image like Schiaparelli, Wiederhoeft and Laura Kim and Fernando García, who until September of last year were at the helm of Oscar de la Renta, which was one of her all-time favorites.

As expected, bachelor parties have lived up to the occasion. According to People magazine, Travis Kelce celebrated his in California from June 17 to 21 with various events accompanied by his brother Jason and friends like Druski and Ross Travis.

Among the highlights were a dinner at the exclusive private club The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood, a casual moment watching the 2026 World Cup matches at Barney's bar, and culminated with a DJ Chris Lake concert at Los Angeles State Historic Park where he unexpectedly played a remix of Taylor Swift.

Upon hearing the music of his future wife, the Kansas City Chiefs player took to the stage to shoot bubble guns at the attendees and commented, "I bet you didn't expect to hear Tay Tay tonight."

On the other hand, Taylor Swift chose the East Coast of the United States, specifically in the state of Rhode Island, where the singer owns one of her grand mansions acquired while dating in the summer of 2012 with Connor Kennedy, grandson of the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.

At that time, it was rumored that the Kennedys were not very pleased that the singer had bought a property in their traditional domain.

According to TMZ, there was a lot of activity at the singer's residence over the past weekend, which had a large security team to prevent anyone from trespassing or taking pictures. Several sources told the portal that on Saturday night there was a grand fireworks display at the Ocean House resort near Swift's mansion.

A wedding of this caliber also requires guests with significant social standing. Although the list of VIP attendees is still unconfirmed, international media and social networks have mentioned some celebrities who have a close friendship with the Love Story singer.

Among them are Selena Gomez and her husband Benny Blanco, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz and Suki Waterhouse, who is engaged to Robert Pattinson, and she has been the only one to publicly confirm receiving an invitation.

It seems that her once close friend Blake Lively has not received an invitation, as they drifted apart because the actress got involved in the legal drama with Justin Baldoni, accusing him of creating a hostile work environment and making inappropriate comments during the filming of Closing the Circle.

Harry Styles also does not seem to be attending, with whom the music star briefly dated between 2012 and 2013 as he is immersed in his Together, Together Tour.

For now, guests have several guidelines such as not bringing mobile phones and not giving gifts. The latter request has been confirmed by George Kittle, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs and a close friend of Travis, to Extra TV: "They said no gifts. But I was thinking that since Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, I could give him one. And it sounds expensive, too," he said jokingly.
