After becoming famous as Lavender Brown in the iconic film series "Harry Potter" and having four children with her partner (Alfie Brown), actress Jessie Cave had to make a decision: focus on O.F.
The former Hogwarts student appeared in some series after her teenage role in J.K. Rowling's saga, but after facing multiple rejections in various castings, as she reveals to The Times, she had to turn to uploading content on the platform to pay the bills: "I couldn't go work at a supermarket because I can't afford childcare, and besides, I don't want to be yelled spells from 'Harry Potter' while working."
Following this, she reached a breaking point and "complete desperation", and in March 2025, she fully transitioned to this new job as a paid content creator. Her account focuses on her hair: she posts content fully clothed, brushing her hair or fulfilling audience requests (whether dressed as an elf, waving it, or even portraying Lavender Brown herself). According to her, her hair reaches "down to her vagina".
Indeed, the initiative is proving to be a financial success: "I thought I would make around five grand, be there for a couple of months, and have time to figure out what we were going to do, but it's been over a year and a half, and it has saved our lives."
The actress revealed that her subscribers pay her about six dollars monthly to view her content, but most of her income comes from specific requests from some of them. When she started on the platform, leveraging her fame from Harry Potter, she gained around 3,500 subscriptions in a day, earning approximately 15,000 pounds.
"I've earned more in a year with this than in my entire acting career," she asserts. She lost many followers who wanted more explicit content but maintains a loyal fan base.
O.F. has become her salvation. While acknowledging the stigma associated with the platform due to its high sexual content, the actress uses the app to upload hair-related content, which she describes as "a business decision" to support her family.
In fact, she has had breast augmentation, an operation funded by her followers, knowing that, despite her content being softer than usual on the platform, her income potential is lower.
