Through a video shared on social media, both artists and athletes express their solidarity with the victims and make a plea to raise awareness about the areas and families in urgent need of help. Ryan Castro also announced that his team has already started sending humanitarian aid to the most affected regions.
The artist explained that the first plane with supplies had already taken off bound for Cali, while two more flights are scheduled to deliver aid soon to Chocó. Additionally, he asked his followers to report on places where assistance is needed to expedite the arrival of resources.
"Colombia, we are doing everything to help," Ryan Castro states in his post, where he also assures that he will return to the country to directly collaborate with the affected families.
The message ends with a special thank you to Lamine Yamal, whom Ryan Castro considers his "little brother," for helping to bring international visibility to the situation in Colombia.
