Good news reigns at the mansion owned by the Stallone family in Palm Beach, Florida, as Sophia Rose (30), Sylvester (80) and Jennifer Flavin's (58) eldest daughter has announced her engagement on Instagram. On August 28, the young woman posed happily with her fiancé, Michael Sheehan, who had asked her to marry him just before turning 30.
In the various images posted, the couple embraced while kneeling surrounded by candles and white roses; in another, they pose on a balcony looking at the camera while Sophia shows her engagement ring. The producer and podcaster wrote a phrase that symbolizes their relationship: "Forever with my best friend."
Although official details of the ring have not been provided, MDT Design, one of Austria's most reputable jewelers, described it as a four to five-carat oval-cut white diamond with a color range between D-G. Refined platinum claws hold the central stone, while an exquisite 18-carat rose gold band creates a delicate contrast. This combination allows the platinum setting to harmoniously integrate with the diamond, while the rose gold adds a subtle warmth. With limited information, experts estimate it to be worth 270,000 Australian dollars (almost 170,000 euros).
The bride-to-be's sisters, Sistine (28) and Scarlet (24), did not miss the opportunity to congratulate the couple. "AYAYYAYY my favorite people!!!!! Crying! How happy I am! I love you both!" wrote the youngest sister.
Also, the star of Rocky wanted to be part of this special moment when he posted a picture of the private celebration. The proud dad, who posed with his wife and the couple, wanted to share the good news with his followers: "We are very excited about our daughter Sophia's engagement to Michael!"
Sophia and Michael have been in a relationship for several years, although how they met is currently unknown. She studied at the University of Southern California (USC), where she enrolled in the prestigious Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, graduating in Communication in 2019. She later took various specialized courses in film and entrepreneurship. She has worked as a producer, model, and until a few months ago, she co-hosted the podcastUnwaxed with Sophia & Sistine Stallone with her sister Sistine, where they shared their life experiences.
Two months after birth, Sophia had to undergo a complex heart operation due to a congenital malformation, and at 16, she had another open-heart surgery. Therefore, she has always been the most spoiled in the house, although the Stallone family also indulges their other daughters with expensive treats.
When Paris Match interviewed Jennifer in 2012, the former model stated that Sophia is the one who most resembles her father, as they "have a very special bond, think alike, and even have the same gestures. Sophia is the love of his life."
For over a decade, Sophia has been involved in volunteering at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where she sometimes serves as a spokesperson to raise awareness about the issues faced by hospitalized children and the necessary research to try to eradicate their health problems. Michael Sheehan's personal and professional life is unknown as no American media outlet has provided any details.
Her parents
Jennifer and Sylvester met by chance at a Beverly Hills restaurant in 1988 when he was 42 years old and was one of the most important action movie stars while she was 19 and starting her career as a model. When the reality show The Family Stallone aired, the actor confessed that upon seeing her enter, he felt as if a small earthquake had occurred.
By then, the actor had already been married twice. The first marriage was to actress Sasha Czack, with whom he had two sons, Sage, who passed away from a coronary issue in 2012 at the age of 36, and Seargeoh, who has autism. The second marriage was to Danish actress Brigitte Nielsen (63), whom he met during the filming of Rocky IV (1985). They married that same year and divorced 19 months later after several scandals.
In 1994, six years after they started dating, Stallone broke up with Flavin through a letter upon discovering that he had been unfaithful with model Janice Dickinson, who had just given birth to a baby. Initially, it was believed that the Oscar-winning actor was the father, but after undergoing paternity tests, it was proven otherwise. Therefore, Sylvester left Dickinson and started a brief relationship with another model, Angie Everhart.
However, the star of First Blood (1982) reconciled with Jennifer, with whom he immediately had their first daughter, Sophia. A year later, in 1997, they married in a small private ceremony at The Dorchester in London, one of the city's most iconic hotels that throughout its history has hosted guests such as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, Somerset Maugham, and Cole Porter, among others.
