The theme park that Shakira is preparing for her residency in Madrid is starting to take shape just ten days before the start of the 12 concerts that the Colombian singer will offer in the capital, the only European stop of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour. In addition to her performances, these dates will also feature Spanish and Latin artists who will complement the activities that will take place at the Macondo Park set up at the Iberdrola space.
Amaia, Nathy Peluso, Guitarricadelafuente, or Yerai Cortés will be some of the names performing within the venue before Shakira's concerts. Among the chosen artists are also Aria Vega, Gale, Lia Kali, Louta, Maro, Santos Bravos, Ángeles Toledano, or more emerging projects like Izatkm, J Noa, Nico, or Yapi. A lineup that is almost evenly split between both sides of the Atlantic with the intention of merging Spanish and Latin cultures as part of a whole.
Macondo Park, the name given to the city that will be set up in that space inspired by the universe of Gabriel García Márquez, will be the center of all activities. Beyond the concerts by the artist herself, which will be spread over four weekends between September 18 and October 11, there will be talks on literature and fashion, a book club, gastronomic workshops, spaces for children and families... All revolving around Shakira and her origins.
Literature, taking advantage of the name given to the space, will focus mainly on the work of Gabriel García Márquez, but will also address some of the books that have marked the artist's career. In the fashion section, there will be a presence of Spanish haute couture brands and the beauty brand of the artist herself, ÍSIMA, will be presented. And in terms of gastronomy, chef Rafa Zafra will be the protagonist, accompanied by other internationally renowned chefs, to bring Latin American cuisine to Madrid, where P.A.N.'s arepas and tequeños can be tasted.
Also, there will be the Shakira Museum, a space where the artist's fans can go through her career with materials selected by herself. This space is divided into three stages: The Cultural Icon, The Social Impact, and The Latin Celebration. The Loba Club will have an interactive activity for her followers to sing some of her songs. The Hall, sponsored by Occident, will integrate two stages where the artists selected by the Colombian will perform each day. And Macondo Plaza, in the center of this construction, will host a carnival every night after the concert.
The singers who will accompany Shakira in her twelve shows in the Spanish capital, those who will participate in the concert that will host 50,000 people each night, are yet to be determined.
