Dennis Haskins, best known for his role as Principal Richard Belding in Saved by the Bell, has passed away, as confirmed by TMZ.
His agent, Jay Schachter, told TMZ: "It's a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who had the chance to know Dennis loved him even more. He was a great person and truly cared, I mean, cared a lot about his fans."
The cause of his death is currently unknown.
Schachter added: "He always made time for them, no matter what. He was my client and dear friend for over 20 years, and I will miss him greatly."
Haskins became a familiar face to television viewers in the late 80s and throughout the 90s thanks to his role as Principal Belding in the successful teen comedy Saved by the Bell.
His character constantly tried to keep Zack Morris and the rest of the students at Bayside High in line, often saying his famous line: "Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?".
Haskins reprised the role in several "Saved by the Bell" spin-offs, including Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
