Robert Kelker-Kelly, known for his role as Bo Brady in the popular American soap opera 'Days of Our Lives', has passed away at the age of 62. The actor died on Saturday, October 3, at his home in St. Peters, Missouri, as confirmed by the state's coroner.
Police responded around 8:16 p.m. to his residence after receiving a report of an unconscious man not breathing. Authorities stated that Kelker-Kelly had previously complained of chest pain before losing consciousness. Emergency services attempted to revive him but were unable to save his life. Police mentioned that there were no suspicious circumstances at the scene and the death appeared to be due to a medical episode. The official cause of death has not been disclosed yet.
Kelker-Kelly began his television career in 1987 with the soap opera 'Another World', where he portrayed Sam Fowler. Over the years, he appeared in over 400 episodes of the series, also playing other characters.
In 1992, he took on one of his most memorable roles as Bo Brady in 'Days of Our Lives', replacing Peter Reckell. He remained on the show until 1995, starring alongside Kristian Alfonso as Hope Brady and Lisa Rinna as Billie Reed. His performance earned him the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Lead Actor in 1994. A year later, Kelker-Kelly and Rinna were awarded the Most Popular Couple for their characters on the show.
Later, Kelker-Kelly joined 'General Hospital', where he portrayed the aristocrat Stavros Cassadine. He appeared on the series from 2001 to 2002 and made subsequent guest appearances in 2013 and 2014.
