Alejandro Sanz has spent a good part of his life among stages, recording studios, travels, and spotlights. His successful career has made him one of the most internationally recognized Spanish artists.

Far from the noise and public exposure, the singer has found a refuge where he can slow down, disconnect, and enjoy tranquility. It is a corner of Extremadura where he has had an estate since the mid-2000s.

What is the beautiful village where Alejandro Sanz has his estate?

The estate of the Madrid-born artist is called El Sueño de los Parrales and is located in Jarandilla de la Vera. It is a municipality of about 3,000 inhabitants located in the province of Cáceres, in the heart of the region of La Vera.

The property covers 32 hectares and combines orchards and a wide variety of trees. The main house is spread over two floors and has seven suite-type rooms. Alejandro Sanz chose his estate to celebrate the baptism of one of his children and his wedding with Raquel Perera in 2012.

The artist is closely linked to the municipality, which in 2025 awarded him the Golden Broom, an award that recognizes those who contribute to projecting the name of Jarandilla de la Vera. The singer described the village on his social media as a "haven of peace" and a place where he has "a lot of friends".

Jarandilla de la Vera: a historic castle, charming streets, and surrounded by a lot of peace

Beyond its connection with Alejandro Sanz, Jarandilla de la Vera has much to offer its visitors. Its main emblem is the castle-palace of the Counts of Oropesa, an imposing medieval fortress that was later converted into a palace and now houses the Parador de Turismo.

Its streets preserve examples of the traditional architecture of La Vera, with stone houses, wood, and balconies that create a urban landscape full of personality. Strolling through them allows you to discover squares, quiet corners, and buildings that recall the past of this town in Cáceres.

In addition, it boasts a privileged natural environment. The mountains of the Sierra de Gredos, the forests, and the numerous gorges that cross the region make Jarandilla a particularly attractive destination for those seeking nature and tranquility.
