Rob Reiner, whose life tragically ended this Sunday after being murdered along with his wife at their Los Angeles home, had a magnificent career as a director in Hollywood. Films like The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, or A Few Good Men are already part of cinema history, but the filmmaker worked on many other titles.

Rob Reiner decided to make his directorial debut with this mockumentary starring Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Reiner himself.

The film follows the tour of a heavy metal band that a journalist discovers and launches. Considered a period piece by many, the U.S. Congress included it in the National Film Registry in 2002 for historical preservation.

Starring John Cusack, Daphne Zuniga, Viveca Lindfors, and Nicollette Sheridan, this romantic comedy tells the story of college students traveling across the United States for various reasons. Along the journey, as in any good film of the genre, love triumphs in the end.

A fantastic coming-of-age drama that follows four friends sharing what could be their last adventure together while searching for a missing boy.

There has never been a better-told tale on the big screen. A damsel in distress, forced to marry an evil prince, is rescued by her true love turned pirate, who must overcome numerous obstacles to succeed. Cary Elwes and Robin Wright bring to life the protagonists of an essential film for the whole family. "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." If you haven't said this line out loud at least once, you've had a questionable childhood.

When Harry Met Sally (1989)

The quintessential romantic comedy starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan, revolving around the eternal question of whether friendship between men and women is possible. Harry (Billy) believes it's not, while Sally (Meg) is convinced otherwise.

Based on a novel by Stephen King, this psychological thriller starring James Caan, Kathy Bates, Lauren Bacall, Richard Farnsworth, and Frances Sternhagen tells the story of a fan who holds a talented and successful writer captive to finish the novel series she admires.

With four Oscar nominations, five Golden Globe nominations... a cult film with a stellar cast: Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson, Kevin Pollak, Wolfgang Bodison, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon.

The plot follows a young Navy lawyer who risks his career to uncover the truth about a murder during a military trial. "Did you order the code red!?" A line for the ages.

North (1994)

North is the original title of this peculiar film in which, tired of the little attention he receives from his parents, North, an 11-year-old boy, decides to go to court. Elijah Wood plays the young boy to whom the judge grants separation from his parents, but gives him only two months to find his ideal parents around the world. Bruce Willis, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jon Lovitz, Dan Aykroyd, Reba McEntire, and Alan Arkin complete the cast of this comedy.

The American President (1995)

Reiner returned to romantic comedy with Michael Douglas, Annette Bening, Martin Sheen, Michael J. Fox, and Richard Dreyfuss in this film that tells the story of a widowed U.S. president with a daughter who falls in love with an environmental activist, and how he must deal with polls and public opinion, in stark contrast to what his heart feels.

Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, and James Woods (impressive cast) join Reiner in this film originally titled Ghosts of Mississippi. A visceral and raw drama on the always controversial topic of racism in the United States.

The movie revolves around the reopening, 30 years later, of a trial involving a white supremacist who killed a black civil rights activist in Mississippi. James Woods was an Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actor.

A revelation about the importance of family, where a man (Bruce Willis) and his wife (Michelle Pfeiffer) have been married for 15 years and appear to have a perfect life in front of their children and neighbors, but the reality is very different. Deep down, they can't stand each other, and on the path to their separation, they question whether the good times that brought love between them weigh more than the harsh reality of life as a couple.
