The appearance of Kelly Osbourne (41) alongside her mother, Sharon (73), at the BRIT Awards stirred up social media. The singer and actress's face and body quickly became the subject of derogatory comments on social media such as "too fragile and thin," "looks like a walking corpse", or "looks like she's going to see her father soon."

Kelly and Sharon traveled to Manchester to receive the posthumous award for her father and husband, respectively, the singer Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July of last year at the age of 76.

After the gala ended, and deeply hurt by what she had read, Kelly wrote unfiltered to her haters on her Instagram: "Kicking me when I'm down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning away when I need support and love the most... none of that shows strength; it only reveals a lack of compassion and character."

"I literally can't believe how disgusting some human beings can be!". "I am going through the hardest time of my life," she says in her social media post, where she also made it clear that "I shouldn't even have to defend myself. But I'm not going to sit back and allow myself to be dehumanized in this way!". And she emphatically pointed out: "No one deserves this kind of abuse."

The actress had already mentioned a few weeks ago after attending the Grammy Awards that she is not going through a good time after the loss of her father, and that is the reason for her weight loss: "I'm not going to lie: people usually say 'I'm fine,' but I'm not doing so well."

"This is the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life. But I am moving forward and, with my family, we are doing everything possible to live up to my father's legacy and be happy," she commented after posing with her fiancé Sid Wilson at an event where she also received numerous criticisms about her appearance.

"I don't even know how to say this, so I'm just going to say it: to the people who still think they are funny by writing comments like 'are you sick?', 'stop taking Ozempic' or 'you don't look good', my father just died and I'm doing the best I can," she told presenter Piers Morgan.
