American singer Ray Stevens, a legend in the country genre, is recovering at home after suffering a fall and breaking his neck on March 29.
This was announced on the official Instagram account of the author of the 1970 hit "Everything Is Beautiful," where they stated that "doctors have recommended he wear a neck brace for approximately four weeks." Despite the injury, he "feels mobile and in good spirits" as he continues his recovery.
His life has been challenging for several years. In 2021, his wife Penny Jackson passed away after a long battle with cancer, and in July 2025, he had to cancel several concerts after experiencing a mild heart attack and undergoing surgery.
This setback in the singer's health will not stop him from continuing with his commercial plans. On April 10, he will release his new albumFavorites Old & New through Curb Records, expanding his extensive discography.
Also known for his comedy, he has achieved success in the United States with hits like The Streak and Mr. Businessman.
