Ali G Indahouse is one of those movies that, if you are from the 80s or 90s, you will remember with special affection. The irreverent performance by Sacha Baron Cohen 24 years ago made Hollywood burst into laughter, and in Spain, it did the same thanks to the legendary dubbing by the Gomaespuma duo.
Now, against all odds, the actor has confirmed through a video posted on the character's social media that they have been secretly working on a sequel after more than two decades. This new installment will be titled 'Ali G: Who Iz I?' and will be released in theaters on October 23, 2026.
In the post on X, Sacha Baron Cohen disguised himself as his iconic character and left the following message: "Finally, they are making a documentary about me. And it's supposed to be a documentary about me, damn it. And it's not like that penguin crap, this one has at least twice the wild sex. 'Ali G: Who Iz I?' will be released on October 23, or whatever that means."
More details about the movie are unknown, but it is expected to once again rely on the humor we saw 24 years ago, based on hidden cameras and absurdity. In the previous installment, Ali G managed to infiltrate the political elite of Great Britain, so it would not be surprising to expect this sequel to present the character as someone close to the presidency or transformed into a relevant yet irreverent political figure.
