The Ukraine war returns to Kiev. Russia has launched a new drone attack on the Ukrainian capital tonight, triggering air raid alarms and prompting air defense units to repel the attack, as reported by the Ukrainian military.
On the other hand, this Sunday Russia announced that its forces had taken full control of the city of Novohrodivka, located 12 kilometers (7 miles) from the strategically important city of Pokrovsk, and are seeking to breach the Ukrainian defensive front lines.
Russian forces, which have controlled about a fifth of Ukraine since invading in February 2022, are advancing in eastern Ukraine in an attempt to take over the entire Donbas, which is roughly half the size of the U.S. state of Ohio.
