Billionaire Elon Musk announced on Sunday that the launch of Grok 3, the third generation of the artificial intelligence model powering the 'chatbot' of the same name, will take place next Monday, with a practical explanation of its operation, as reported by Europa Press.
"Grok 3 launch with live demonstration on Monday night at 8:00 PM (Pacific time). The smartest AI on the planet," the billionaire communicated through a brief message posted on his X social media account.
Following the announcement, Musk mentioned that there are still some details to finalize and that he will spend the rest of the weekend "perfecting the product with his team." "I will be offline until then," he concluded.
Grok 3, previously described by the entrepreneur as "scarily intelligent," is the enhanced version of Grok 2, the most advanced model currently available, which introduced improvements in areas such as chat, coding, reasoning, and added the ability to generate images on the X social network.
This announcement comes after the artificial intelligence company that owns ChatGPT, OpenAI, formally rejected the $97.4 billion (around ¤92.8 billion) purchase offer presented by a group of investors led by Elon Musk himself.
