On the 1167th day of war in Ukraine, Russian anti-aircraft defense units destroyed four Ukrainian drones heading towards Moscow without causing casualties or damage from the debris, said Moscow's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin. In four days, on the 9th, Russia will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany with a military parade in Red Square, where world leaders such as the presidents of China, Xi Jinping, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, are expected to attend.
A total of 26 Ukrainian drones targeting Russian territory were destroyed overnight, said the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Additionally, another 17 drones were destroyed over the Bryansk region, bordering Ukraine, and five over the Kaluga region, which borders northeast of Moscow, the ministry said. No injuries or damages were reported.
Russia, which today reported the death of three civilians in Kursk due to a Ukrainian attack, had considered this border region liberated after 20% of its territory was occupied by Ukrainian forces. These forces attacked Kursk on Monday, firing missiles, crossing the border, and maneuvering through minefields with special vehicles, according to Russian war bloggers.
Meanwhile, Russia has launched 2 ballistic missiles and 116 drones towards Ukrainian territory since last night, including attack drones and replicas. The two ballistic missiles were aimed at the northeastern Sumy region and could not be intercepted. The Sumy and Donetsk regions suffered damage. Ukraine claimed to have shot down 42 Russian drones, lost another 21, and did not disclose the fate of the remaining 53.
Western allies are negotiating to facilitate the delivery of another Patriot system to Ukraine from Europe, possibly from Greece, following the one to be transferred from Israel. A decision is expected to be made before a NATO summit in June.

An initiative led by the Czech Republic to supply ammunition to Ukraine has delivered half a million large caliber projectiles since the beginning of the year, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said on Monday after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Prague.
